Online E-learning Platform for Legal Education in the Philippines
01. The Challenge
Members of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP) are required every three (3) years to complete at least thirty-six (36) hours of continuing legal education activities approved by an MCLE Committee constituted by the Supreme Court.
Due to Covid-19, lawyers were unable to physically complete their continuing legal education and needed more accessible alternatives to the traditional delivery of continuing education.

OOMPI or Online On-demand MCLE Philippines, Inc. is an online learning platform that aims to upgrade the delivery of mandatory continuing legal education (MCLE) to practicing lawyers, primarily in the Philippines. By providing an easy-to-use, logical yet technologically-advanced system, OOMPI enhances the learning experience of each enrollee and empowers them to digest every learning session at their own pace and convenience. It is a simple, easy-to-navigate learning portal, lawyers can learn on the go using any device (Web, iPhone or Android).
The users will be able to take CLE video courses online and track progress made with their courses. An online interactive forum features questions and answers posted by users and allow them to post queries. This will function as a valuable knowledge resource and also build an online community, increasing customer loyalty.
DRM encrypted video streaming technology ensures that no downloader, plugin can grab the video content. Highest security from video piracy is ensured with Google Widevine DRM. The video content is served from an AWS powered server, with transcoding & CDN infrastructure to ensure smooth playback across 6 continents.
Security features including disabling forward scrubbing, tracking video user viewership and more. A wide range of reports are available to the admin, for tracking user viewership and management of users, payments, courses and videos.
